Mission

Our objectives and purpose for offering this training evolution are:
• To provide basic indoctrination to Cadets in the fundamentals of marksmanship and proper gun handling.
• To provide professional training to NSCC Officers so as to allow them the opportunity to utilize their abilities in a
supervised military environment.
• To promote the highest level of training that is consistent with NLCC/NSCC National Goals with an atmosphere of
respect, support, and esprit de corps.

THE BARE ESSENTIALS YOU NEED TO KNOW

1. Training runs from Tuesday, 27 Dec 17 (Intake Day) until Saturday,31 Dec 17 (Departure Day).
2. Check-in for cadets will begin promptly at 1200 on 27 Dec 17.
3. If you are taking commercial transportation (plane) to the training, READ THE TRAVEL
GUIDELINES in this letter. You have been warned.
4. To get a confirmed slot at the training, you must:
a. Have your unit’s training officer register you on Magellan.
b. Have your unit upload a scan of your completed and signed NSCTNG001 to Magellan.
The original should be placed in your service record, which you will bring to training.
c. Send us documentation of any medications that Cadet will take during the training.
Your unit’s officers will help with this. ALL MEDICAL CONDITIONS AND MEDICATIONS
MUST BE PRE-CLEARED PRIOR TO THE START OF TRAINING.
d. Send us any ADA Request for Accommodation well in advance for review, subject to
approval. An approved Request for Accommodation at the home unit does not automatically apply at
the training. Your unit’s officers will help with this. ALL ACCOMMODATIONS MUST ALSO BE
PRE-CLEARED.
e. Pay the $150 registration fee for the training (online payment, details later in this letter)
6. Make sure that we have a correct email for you and your parents or guardians. We will use this email
to communicate important information before and during training.

NOTE FROM THE OIC:

In this training cadets will be exposed to and using various types of firearms, including rifles, hand guns and
shotguns. YOU MUST BE ABLE TO FOLLOW ANY DIRECTIONS GIVEN!!!
Training with firearms is DEADLY if rules are not followed and we cannot afford to break any rules. This
is your FIRST warning and cadets will also receive a warning upon arrival – NO SECOND CHANCES!
Cardinal rule: CADETS WILL BE REMOVED AND SENT HOME UPON THE FIRST
INFRACTION OF ANY TYPE!!!

 

SAFETY:

Safety is our #1 priority. The success of this evolution depends on the safety of all personnel. This will be
accomplished by the following methods:
• Accountability – This is achieved by knowing where our people are at all times and what they are doing. Each individual
will act in a responsible manner.
• By always being alert to possible hazards and taking appropriate action to prevent possible harm to any personnel under
our care.
• By making safety everyone’s responsibility, from the cadet to the Commanding Officer. If any person feels their safety
is about to be compromised, that person will bring it to the attention of the chain of command.

Training Details

Staff Cadets must be PO2 or above.

  1. Read information letter
  2. Register in Magellan.
  3. Upload NSCTNG001 to Magellan
  4.  PAY ONLINE 
  5. UP DATED Minor Consent form COMPLETE AND EMAIL TO CO@AZSEACADETS.ORG
  6. Escort Officer complete the NSCTNG002 and NSCTNG 025 and upload to Magellan.
  7. Cadets traveling from outside Utah need to complete the travel information sheet at the end of the information letter and send email.
